Brief: Design a four-look collection inspired by the theme of “Botanical Geometrics”. Pattern draft and construct one of these looks.
Final Product: Fully-lined pencil skirt and hand-woven, hand-stitched leather bodice top.
Example of technical drawing - flat drawing of basic bodice top.
Clockwise from top left: design development sketchbook, pattern cutting workbook, fabric board, final garments, fabric research, mood board, colour board, final line up board. Completed for first year project brief to design a four look collection inspired by botanical geometrics.
Concept board, sketchbook and 3D model catwalk, completed as part of first year Ideas Generation project. The brief for this project was to take a track of music, explore ideas, images, concepts and thoughts we had from listening to that track, and then create a concept board and model catwalk. I was inspired by the song "You’ll Be Mine" by The Pierces and my interpretation explored the concept of the different stages of womanhood, blood, patriarchy, and the story of Sleeping Beauty.
Putting the final touches to a concept board in Photoshop.
