Connecting the Dots
This shirt belonged to my ex boyfriend. It was a gift from his ex girlfriend from India. He never wore it, and when we broke up, he said I could have it. I figured I might use it for fabric one day or find some way to wear it. That day has come.
A while ago I saw this video and although a creative idea, I didn’t think it was something I could ever really do, given my larger-than-B cup size. However, I just tried it with this shirt and it almost kind of works:
Annoyingly, it’s a teensy bit too short to wear with bare legs, but it gives me a good shape and could work day or night with a pair of black tights and a statement necklace like the one pictured here.
The best thing is that it’s black and white polka dots - one of my favourite prints - so even if I don’t end up wearing it this way, I’m sure I’ll find some way to work it into my wardrobe. Plus, it’ll make for an interesting backstory if anyone ever asks me where I got it!
