when it rains, it pours
a couple of nights ago, dublin experienced something like a month’s worth of rain in one evening (literally). my house has significant water damage, which sucks, but it’s being taken care of and i’m just glad everyone’s okay.
my trusty biker boots got ruined in the déluge while i waded around our living room in foot-high water, trying to save personal belongings and furniture.

it’s true that you don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone, and while losing an already battered pair of boots to a flood isn’t as traumatic as losing your house - or worse, your loved ones - now is certainly the time to invest in some decent rainwear.
